The Secret to Shopping at Kmart!

Before I started couponing, I thought that shopping at any and every store was exactly the same. You go in for your items, you purchase maybe more than you originally went into the store for, and you leave. WRONG! Of course, each store has their items priced a little differently, but did you know that each store has it's own secret to helping you save money?!

Before shopping at K-Mart, take a look at K-Mart's current coupon policy:

*Kmart sales run Sunday to Saturday
*Kmart accepts any manufacturer’s coupons that have a scannable bar code and that are not copied from an original coupon. Upon using the coupon, it must be surrendered to the cashier. Kmart accepts $5 off coupons, BOGO offer coupons, and free product coupons, but they are not doubled during double coupon events.
*Kmart does accept internet printable coupons as long as they have a scannable bar code. They may be printed in black and white, and Kmart do not have any restrictions on IPs.
*More than one coupon may not be used on a single product, so Kmart will not accept a Kmart store coupon along with a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item.
*Kmart does not accept nor double/triple coupons where the value of a coupon exceeds the value of the product.
*During double coupon events, there is a limit, and that limit varies by event. However, during regular business days, any limit the number of coupons a customer may use during that day may be imposed by the store manager if necessary.
*Individual stores should not be imposing their own rules nor vary from our policy unless they have previous permission from the corporate office.
*Kmart does give out rain checks on certain items. However, if an item is part of a sale that only lasts a few hours, or if the advertisement specifies that quantities are limited, Kmart do not offer rain checks.
*Kmart is unable to place special orders for customers. When Kmart is having a special on a certain product, a larger quantity of that product is usually sent to the stores.

Concerning Double Coupon Days:

*When the policy states only 10 coupons may be doubled per customer per day, you may use more than 10 coupons, but only 10 will be doubled. For instance, you may use 15 coupons, but only 10 will be doubled

The Secret to shopping at Kmart:
*Combine double coupon days with in-store promotions!

Double coupon days are offered in select regions on a random basis. Kmart Double Coupon Days run for an entire Kmart sales week(from Sunday to Saturday). During Kmart Double Coupon Days, coupons of a certain, pre-determined value are automatically doubled by the register. Kmart typically sets a limit as to how many coupons may be doubled per day.

Example: If Kmart doubles coupons up to $1, you simply present your $1 coupon and receive $2 off. Coupons that offer under $1 will automatically double as well, but coupons that offer $1.01 or more off will not double.

*Combine Catalinas with Kmart Double Coupon Days!

Example: Bic Hybrid Razors priced at $4.99 each
Buy 2, earn a $3 Catalina to use towards your next order
Use (2) $2/1 Bic Hybrid Razor manufacturer coupons ($2 coupons will each automatically be doubled to $4 by the register!)
Final price= $1.98 or 99¢ each, plus receive a $3 Catalina!
**This would be considered a money maker even though you'd be paying $1.98+tax out of pocket, as you'd still be making $1.02 after you subtract the total you paid from the total amount of money you made to spend on your next purchase!

$3 Catalina you received -$1.98 (what you spent)=$1.02 left over to spend!

You can redeem the points on future purchases so if you save your rewards for a little while, you can get money off or sometimes even score free items depending on the price of the items and the amount you have in rewards!
