Soda Stream review and giveaway!

I come from a soda loving household, so imagine my excitement when Soda Stream offered me Fountain Jet Soda Lover’s Start-up Kit ($100 retail value!) to review!

Those of you who know me personally know that I'm rarely seen without a can of Diet Coke in tow. I'll admit I was a tad nervous to try some of the flavors because I'm honestly not big on off brand soda. Soda Stream offers over 30 flavor varieties ranging from energy drink, cranberry raspberry, zero cola, and rootbeer (a little of something for everyone!) My personal favorite was the rootbeer flavor, which would be FABULOUS when used in a rootbeer float! To my surprise, the flavorings actually tasted pretty close to the leading brands!

The soda maker was incredibly easy to use and allows you to turn tap water into sparkling water in under 30 seconds, with no clean-up. I would, however highly recommend using caution and be sure to throughly read the instructions before use! My boyfriend and I thought we understood the instructions 100%, but in our excitement forgot the important step of screwing the bottle in all the way! We were drenched to say the least!

Basically, all you have to do is put water in a bottle, attach it to the machine that has the CO2 canister and push a button! Plus, you don't have to plug the machine in or add expensive batteries, each bottle of flavoring is equal to 33 cans of soda and the soda flavoring bottles take up little storage space! (This leaves more valuable room for your stockpile!)

Most of the flavorings are around $4.99 and they can make the equivalent of 33 cans of pop which equals out to $0.15 a can, which is a great value! Plus, you can refill the CO2 canisters at local stores including Younkers, Kohls, Sears and Bed Bath & Beyond!

This would make an incredible (and unique) gift for weddings, birthdays and Christmas!
