Writing to companies for coupons!

Writing to companies is an awesome way to get high value (and sometimes free product coupons!) Plus, the more coupons you get, the more money you're able to save on your grocery bill.

These notes can be compliments, complaints or questions. About 75% of the time you write to a company, they will respond and more often than not, they'll send coupons!

Some basics when writing to a company:

1. Make it personal. Let them know how much you appreciate their products.
Example: Brendan LOVES MiO water enhancer! We add it to his milk to add flavor without adding calories.

2. Be specific. Don't just tell Dole you love their fruit. Tell them how much you love their fruit parfaits. Let them know that your daughter begs for a fruit parfait at snack time.

3. Thank them for making the product. Be sure to tell them how much you appreciate their product and how much the product improves your quality of life. Companies love hearing they are making your life easier.

4. Talk about a specific time you used the product. Let Pampers know that their wipes container was a blessing because it was so easy to open with one hand while your child was squirming around during a diaper change.

5. Always be polite. Always be sure to thank them for taking the time to read your note.

6. Above all be honest! Don't tell a company you love their product for the sake of getting a coupon. Only contact a company with legitimate complaints and praise. Why purchase a product if you don't intend to use it? However, if you do have a complaint, make sure you have the product's packaging in front of you. They typically ask for information, such as the barcode off of the package so they can alert their quality control department.

Here are a few companies to get you started:
Coffemate
Oust
Hefty Trash Bags
Ben & Jerry
Hasbro

Brita
